Dog Gear

Ruffwear built the Front Range around four points of adjustment rather than the usual two, which matters more than it sounds like it should. Most off-the-shelf harnesses fit a dog's chest but gap at the ribcage, or vice versa; the extra straps let you dial in both independently.
We fitted it on a barrel-chested pit mix who'd chafed out of two previous harnesses within a week. After ten days of twice-daily walks, there was no rubbing at the armpits — the padded foam lining on the chest and belly panels is doing real work, not just marketing copy.
We stopped noticing the harness was there, which for a chafe-prone dog is the highest compliment we can give one.
A strong everyday harness for dogs with fit problems in standard designs. If your dog already fits a two-point harness fine, you're paying for adjustability you may not need.
